    Question Will this break the...

    Good Day Everyone,

In Intermittent Fasting during fasting state do you consider eating non-caloric food?
Like: Asparagus, Broccoli, Carrot, Peppers, Cucumber, Lettuce, Onion, Radishes, etc...

Will this technically break the fasting state and the whole benefits of the Intermittent Fasting process?

    Regards,
    Shadeed

It's not Zero caloric but very very low in term of calories.
Can these be consumed during the fasting phase?

No, during your fast you can only drink water and maybe some diet sodas!

    Veggies have carbs!

    Yep, specifically before/during/after your workout.

My response to your (same) question in my IF thread:

The foods you listed aren't 'non-caloric'. They're low calorie, high fiber foods. They still have a caloric value, and as such, would constitute breaking a fast.

So to answer your question - no. I eat *nothing*. Water, maybe a cup of coffee. BCAA's pre/post workout (while fasted) which is technically also breaking the fast, but the lesser of 2 evils IMO (training heavy while fasted for long period of time).

I take BCAA's, beta-alanine and citrulline malate before and during my fasted cardio every morning. Also one or two caffeine pills. Hope that isn't causing any interference with the fasted cardio. It has been working well for me and plan to continue doing it this way. I still seem to be burning the fat away. Oh, also using Austinites fat burn stack before cardio. I've noticed the caffeine really helps with the burning in the quads on sprints and high speed one mile passes. I was pretty skeptical but it really does work!

I would switch this to GreenTea extract powder myself. Just did that and boy is there a difference! At least for me :-)

    Thanks

EGCG included with the Austinite fat burn stack! And you're right - it does work!
