And what about holding your breath while your under tension.
No way I can breathe during my rep or otherwise I would lose all of my tension and I can't move any serious weight. Not mentioning I would get crushed by the weight if I would breathe when I'm on my way up during a squat. You should hold your breath during your reps otherwise you can't keep your body under tension. So there are not only negative sides on holding your breath. You should just time it a bit better so you will not faint like the dude in the vid. Just my 2 cents.
no you should not hold your breath on any resistant movement, you should breath out but very slowly keeping the tension. this is why you hear bodybuilder screaming when they are pushing, screaming out means berating out but very controlled. try it, you'll see what I am talking about.
