I'm a single male, 29 years old, non-smoker btw.
www.EHealthInsurance.com is where I got my policy from. I don't like having my policy tied to employment, and during a period where I owned my own business I had my own policy, and decided to just keep it. Think about what you want in a policy, be REASONABLE, if you aren't sickly, then you probably don't need a policy with $5 deductibles and what not. My policy is through Horizon BCBS, its $190/month. Office visits are $30, Emergency Room is $100, Outpatient Surgery is a $500 deductible, Prescription is up to X amount in dollars, and 50% of the cost of brand name drugs. It has mental health, chiropractic, etc. It is a great policy for the cost. I was really interested in a policy to cover catastrophic injury, just like you'd have for your vehicle or home, however this policy goes much further for the money, so its great in my opinion. You may want something more inclusive, but understand you will pay for it.
