    I did Daytona to NYC in one day on a softail. By the time I was done I was pretty shot. I usually don't ride like that any more. Plan 500-600 miles a day. Even if you are going 80-90 miles an hour with stops and meals its hard to average much better than 50 miles an hour so 1000 miles = 20 hours.
