    Any reason for concern?

I just got blood work back. Doctor didn't see anything alarming; but I figured I'd ask here.

Everything was in the "normal range", EXCEPT:

    WBC - 3.9 x 10e9/L (a little low)
    BUN - 6mg/dL (a little high)
    SGOT(AST) - 44 units (a little high)

I'm 43 years old, 6'0, 195lbs. Currently doing a lot of cardio and high-intensity stuff while cutting. No supplements other than protein and multi-vitamin.

The numbers weren't too far out of the "normal" range, but I figured it couldn't hurt to ask.

You need to post the lab ranges. But it looks like you may have been sick recently or suffered an infection. And your protein intake might be too high.

Take 600mg of NAC daily, that will fix AST. Your liver enzymes are elevated and it will drop it to normal range.

    Do you have Creatinine results?

BUN is low, not high as you indicated in your original post. This is not a cause for concern.

Just get some NAC and you'll be fine.

NAC = Acetylcysteine? isn't it a kidney thing? prescription or OTC?

Kidney/Liver and much more. It's a powerful antioxidant. N-acetylcysteine. OTC.

OTC and ARR sells it, also like to add working out can raise liver enzymes, so no biggie but keep watching and make sure its not getting worse.

Thanks for the reassurance, guys. I'll get the NAC and give it a try. I had been really eating a lot of protein and getting 5 really intense workouts a week religiously for the last two months. I figure that was the likely cause, but really wanted to consult the voices of experience.
