I thought you americans have that law were you must be a born citizen to be President?

We do but that doesnt mean it cant change. You use to be able to be president for over 2 terms and my money is still on Obama changing it back so he can run again. All it takes is an executive order just like the one that changed it to 2 terms.

there was a Sly movie a long time back, "demolition man" it was called and in it Sly learns that during his freezing period, the constitution was ammended and arnie got elected as president I remember back then I thought what the heck...they might just do it ...

Roosevelt was dead. It was enacted parlty because of Roosevelts dictatorship and stacking of the courts. It's currently the 22nd amendment of the constitution.

It could be repealed, but it's not likely that would ever happen. I'd be fine with us changing the rules so Arnold could become president. If he could be lucky enough to get a congress that is willing to negotiate with him, we might actually get some shit done in this country.

No, FDR was elected 4 times. There was no rule about term limits before he did that. It was just a precedent that Washington set and nobody successfully broke until then.

Thomas Dewey (the guy that the newspapers declared beat Truman in the 1948 Presidential election, but really lost when the votes were actually counted) as part of his campaign said he would push a constitutional amendment through Congress. He didn't get elected, but the lobbyists still got it pushed through Congress and 41 states individually ratified it (only needed 36). And so it's the 22nd Amendment to the constitution. So there was no "executive order" that changed the rule to two terms.
