My buddy had a 11' half pipe with a 6' bowl around it. His basement was all little 1/4 pipes, like a skate park. Christian came out a stayed a week, he was cool as shit.

Ahhh memories. I had a big trakk and a green machine. Haven't thought about it in decades. I took the big trakk apart to analyze how it worked. My dad kicked my ass big time. Lol. Funny I did things like that then... I started out building ibm pc systems in the 90's for extra money and I'm a programmer now so it didn't go to waste pops!

No doubt ! They built a park in my town about 10 years ago. My wife bought me a board, helmet and pads. Things were going good, then I just didnt pay attention once, dropped in on a spine ramp, board shot out ! I hit the ground so hard, so fast this kid came over on a scooter and said " You good, I heard that all the way over there?". I picked myself up, barely made it to my truck, missed 3 days of work. I sent that board down to my niece in Florida that next week!! We are lucky we can walk today, boy youth saves are butts back in the day !

Same here, there was 6-7 of us up until 9th grade that were skate or die (remember that arcade game? Funny story, this kid moved to our school in 8th grade, metal head. He walked around the school the first day and at the end came up to us and said "Looks like Ill be hanging with you guys." Turned out to be a good friend.

As far as the ramp, my friend was rich, he was the smartest in his grade but had dread locks and smoked weed (In the 80's, he was ahead of the times). His parents said if he kept his grades above 95 when they built their new house he would get a ramp. They builders built the house, 2 car garage(with half court basketball), huge pool deck and then the ramp attached to the deck behind the garage. We sat there everyday for a month, they built the half pipe we would skate on that when they left and then they finished the bowl around it with metal coping.....epic days!

Edit: I had the hair too, would go in my mouth lol.
