Congrats on the new job! Well soon to be. I'm in the union myself. You can't beat the pay and benefits. Like King said. There are some pretty lazy people. You can tell the union guys from the company guys for sure. I haven't been in long. Just under a year and I've seen some of the biggest pu$$ies I've ever seen. Standing by "their contract". The other day there was a box in their way which was easily moved. Instead of just moving it to the side so he could work. He just stood there for two hours until it got moved. It sounds like your a hard worker so I'm sure you'll do just fine! Around here you can wear what you want. As long as your wearing the recommended PPE for the job site

Unions are shi*. How can anyone actually think they can hold a company hostage and demand this and that? I use to work in mining/construction and its full of union scum. Its a absolute joke. I was on one job were the electricians were complaning that they were earning 4000$ a week in the hand. 4 grand a week and they said it was slavery we want 5 grand blah blah. Labour laws are fine but add unions into te mix and it just turn to shi*. All they do is justify there jobs and make people feel that they need them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Euro my dad runs a machine shop and he said the union guys will try to muscle up and they won't do something, he said one time recently I recall that there was some big freaking cvnt that wouldn't do something, since he couldn't do fire him my dad said he was going to kick his ass, and the guy knew that everyone witnessing it would say he started it so he tucked his tail and did it....simple job, and the guy makes $60/hr, unbelievable
