I don't condone gun ownership for everyone. Clearly there are many idiots who should never wield a gun. We had a young member here once flaunting the fact he took random shots at someone on the highway who pissed him off. That's NOT the kind of responsible ownership we are talking about. Drawing a gun should be the last alternative, not first, I'll agree with you there. Once you draw a gun you've escalated the situation (potentially), so IMO it should be the last thing you do.

Most people opposed to guns see guns as the problem. Ok then, I guess every misinformed person who thinks steroids are harmful and should remain illegal and those using them prosecuted to the fullest, is right? Never mind that there are responsible anabolic users who cycle properly and don't abuse them. Let the abusers be representative of all users and agree steroids are bad. Steroids aren't bad when used carefully, correctly, and responsibly. Guns aren't specifically the problem; it's the irresponsible idiots who go around waving them as they please.

People have committed crimes with knives. Maybe it's time we ban all knives?
