guns will mostly be pulled in fear, If a kid was running home with milk and someone felt threatened and shot him. would that be self defense because of the way they felt?. Guns are not safe and should not be carried on the street. ever. Thugs are not bullet proof but if someone pulls a gun or a bar or a bat or a knife and you are still standing here, You finish them on the spot. Liverpool I live, grew up in Glasgow, kids with guns round here bro.
I don't condone gun ownership for everyone. Clearly there are many idiots who should never wield a gun. We had a young member here once flaunting the fact he took random shots at someone on the highway who pissed him off. That's NOT the kind of responsible ownership we are talking about. Drawing a gun should be the last alternative, not first, I'll agree with you there. Once you draw a gun you've escalated the situation (potentially), so IMO it should be the last thing you do.Originally Posted by SteveUK
Most people opposed to guns see guns as the problem. Ok then, I guess every misinformed person who thinks steroids are harmful and should remain illegal and those using them prosecuted to the fullest, is right? Never mind that there are responsible anabolic users who cycle properly and don't abuse them. Let the abusers be representative of all users and agree steroids are bad. Steroids aren't bad when used carefully, correctly, and responsibly. Guns aren't specifically the problem; it's the irresponsible idiots who go around waving them as they please.
People have committed crimes with knives. Maybe it's time we ban all knives?

Mossberg pistol grip 500 tactical 12g shot gun with a breach muzzle. Holds three rounds and three more on the grip mount. Easy for my HAW to handle. My favorite is my Benelli M4 semi-auto 12g but that has too much kick for the little Asian. LolOriginally Posted by diesel101
.45 is my HK. Also a .40 in the bedroom. 6 loaded clips, green laser sight and tactical light. My favorite sidearm. Precision shooting with laser. I'm sure most perps seeing a green laser dot on their chest would turn and run like hell. Lol.
I carry everyday![]()

I have 3 kids; 3, 7, 13. The two youngest aren't even aware there are guns in the house and have never seen them. The guns in the bedroom are trigger locked.Originally Posted by SteveUK

Responsible gun owners don't leave loaded guns for children to play with and those raised with guns in the home must be educated on gun safety - as my 13 year old is.
Yup, that's the plan!Originally Posted by SteveUK

My guns aren't loaded (magazines are), the guns have a trigger lock. When my young kids (3 & 7) visit (they live with my ex) ALL guns are stored away.Originally Posted by SteveUK

Yes I have the liquor out of reach, I have medicine out of reach, my car and bike keys are out the way and my kitchen knives are locked away from my child. If he has a gun on the night stand and a gun under the bed not loaded... Why would he make the comment or even have them there... put ammo in safe, put gun next to bed huh?... LoL are you for real? you must love guns a lot or just trying too hard.
No. Neither own or wanted one. 65% of males in my family are LE so some had police issued hand guns. I fired a few with my relatives but in general guns scared the hell out of me until I learned how to shoot and field strip.Originally Posted by Euroholic

And another thing. Does any one here own a full auto rifle?
hahahaha are you fvckn serious? What you have your liquire on a top shelf with no way to reach it? Knives are also on a top shelf somewhere with your keys next to them? 99% of people keep their medicine on a night stand or medicine cabinet. lol
Stop trying to make it something it's not. You dont like/want guns then the rest of us are safer for it since you dont seem to have a basic understanding. You are just looking for a reason to make an argument.
Most legal gun owners not only are educated on how to use a gun safely as well as store it they also practice the safety in other life aspects such as actually locking up perscription meds. I keep ALL my prescriptions in my gun safe.
No I dont lock up my knifes. I taught my kids when they are young they are SHARP and they have learned from experience. I taught my kids what No meant also so they understand there are consequences.
Whats really funny is you would have a panic attack if you knew how many people around you had a concealed carry permit. I have had it come up in conversation a couple of times with people I have known for many years and they had no idea I had on or that I carried. It's not something you advertise in public.
When I grew up I had full access to several firearms and loads of ammo. All of my friends did as well. Not a single one of them shot up a school or a mall. None of them killed themselves or anyone else. My daughter was raised around guns (although she never developed an interest). She had access to loaded guns from an early age.
The difference is education, respect and discipline.
Am I real? Well, unless you want to turn this in to an existential discussion, the simple answer is, yes I am real so far as my conscious mind allows it. As Renee Decartes said, "cogito ergo sum".Originally Posted by SteveUK
I still don't see how having guns and ammo with children in the home assumes a tragedy will occur. Children die in pools, car accidents, chocking on small objects.....hell a child misusing a treadmill could be life threatening. Should we ban all these things? Keep them out of vehicles? No, of course not. Now, one could bring in population statistics in the argument perhaps showing gun related accidents involving children is higher than vehicular injuries. Fair enough, I'll grant you that. Again, the problem isn't guns, it's parenting. If you are leaving loaded guns around with children to young to appreciate the threat and potential fatality, it's parental neglect and ignorance, not guns, causing the problem.
Yea I am serious. But I do have my knives in the kitchen behind a child gate and behind a child proof lock. And I don't have basic understanding? You seem to have missed the point or skipped the post, that I actually commented on. You taught you're kids about knives, yes they are sharp, Kids fall, kids have accidents, either way its you're fault. The guy said gun on the night stand gun under the bed, if there not loaded why have them there.. Panic attack lol a fairy carrying a gun even if they pulled it they would be that shaky they probably miss.
All I see here from Stevo is a bunch of bullshit without one single thing to back up his ridiculous scenarios (hallucinations) .... Lets see it Stevo, hard data, facts, real life stories.......there must be an enormous pile somewhere on google to back you up. Pure unadulterated horseshit, every word!!
Outside of a handful of scholars and MDs, many don't. I spent 6 years studying it. That was probably the first time I've used it in......forever...lol.Originally Posted by SteveUK

Good idea, keep them locked behind that gate, pad all the walls and sharp corners. God forbid they ever learn anything from experience or make a mistake in life. No reason to teach them safety or respect such as DONT touch or it's dangerous.
You kids will make good followers someday.![]()
