Always have very educational posts, thanks. Just one question about HCG, Is it used to basically keep your "system" from ever completely shutting down? Thanks again.

  2. #42
random question, what about corticosteroids? I was prescribed these multiple times as a teen.

Do they effect the HPTA or pituitary, my knowledge on them is very limited. All I recall is they cause the adrenal glands to secrete more and have anti inflammatory properties. But I was always weened off them and was never allowed to take them for more than 2 weeks. So I was just curious.

Corticosteroids are mild on HPTA, but they are suppressive to a degree. I recall a study stating that testosterone, LH and FSH were all reduced by around 20%. But HPAA (hypohalmaic, pituitary adrenal axis) is heavily suppressed.

I think the main concern is with longterm use. Impact can be permanent and in some cases, can cause hypogonadism. But I think it's fair to say that hypogonadism would be rare.

I read through the comments and didnt find an answer to this... and there is a lot of conflicting info on the forum about this so I wanted to ask you, Austinite, my new favorite body chemistry teacher. How would you calculate Clomid and Nolva dosing for PCT?

I've read almost all of your articles on here. Thanks for sharing your knowledge.

No worries with two injections. Austin's response was spot on, as usual. This will seal the deal.

as stated in the article, either way is possible. You can most certainly get a female pregnant.

There is an article written on this site titled "How to come off steroids". In that article it states that for PCT to only choose one SERM. Choose either Clomid or Nolvadex, and that both taken together is not needed. Can you clarify this please.

Can someone please elaborate what is meant by this? What is this excess estrogen in the hypothalamus?

Estrogen in your hypothalamus will suppress gnrh. Therefore; your natural LH/FSH will not be produced. Removing the excess estrogen will bring production back to life, thus; recovery.

I've learned so much from you, I was brought up on old school gearing, with all the wrong ideas we use to have about properly doing things to minimize negative effects of our actions, after 12 years my 1st cycle and running just test, I'm getting great results, with 250 hcg and Arimidex, have Nolva and clomid waiting, looking for not crashing like I use to, Thanks for sharing.
