Thread: What needle gauge for quad injections - viscosity of TEST E

Question What needle gauge for quad injections - viscosity of TEST E

    Hi people,

I'll be starting my Test-E cycle @ the 10th of Feb. I'll be injecting 500mg's every 6 days for those that are interested. Also i'll be running arimidex during the entire cycle and my pct consists of nolva & clomid.

Now i'll come to the point.
I've been injecting myself with methylcobalamine (b12) in the past to practice injections. I only dare to inject my quads at this moment in time so I'll inject the test in here too. For this practice a 25G needle was used that was 25mm long.

I tried to suck up olive oil in a syringe with this 25G needle too see how that went, not well.
    So my questions are:

    - Does Test E has the same viscosity as olive oil?
    - What is the best way to warm up your test bottle?
    - What is the best gauge to use for TEST e quad injections?
    - What is the minimum size you can use for TEST e quad injections?

    Thanks!

Test e should be pinned every 3.5 days ex monday am thursday pm but any 2 days a wk is fine up to you. Hcg should also be used on cycle 250iu's 2x wk you've got your AI and pct so that's good. Right as for your Q

No ugl's use different oil so no one can say.
Sit in in warm water or hold the vial under the hot tap not the rubber stopper though.
    23g or 25g 1" to 1.5"
    As above ^^

For drawing you oil from the vial a 18g is good the smaller the gauge the longer it will take.

Quad inj can be very sore some ppl have no probs others it's a no no have a read at this link.

Thanks for your replies guys. What a relief that i'll be using the 23 instead of 22

Really it depends on a lot of things. How lean you are. The volume your are pinning etc. I been using insulin pins for quads for a long time. Pinning short esters eod leaves less scar tissue for me but I also stray very lean. It's also a bit more hassle cause the pins have to be back loaded

So you're telling me you can inject test prop with an insulin needle ?
    Do you inject this subq?

I do yes and no it's not sub q but keep in mind I stay very lean year round. I stay at or below 10 % bf. If you are above that I wouldn't suggest it but if you are there is way less scar tissue this way

I don’t use anything larger than 29G for every muscle. And If you’re under 12% I’d advice the same. It will take longer and you might be limited to 1ml but wtf, less than 1ml is good for preventing serious infection from dirty gear, and slower injection is better for PIP. I don’t mind if it takes 1 min instead of 10 seconds...

I have never been able to consistently pin quads. I stick it and starts jumping. Not kidding.

Glutes for me for AAS. Side delts or stomach fat for peps.

You start jumping??? Man, you have first to sit down, stretch the leg, relax the muscle, and search for a spot with no visible veins.
If you sit, with the stretched leg, its kinda impossible to jump! And remember, its not the same to pin with 29G as 18G

As long as you are pinning the outer quad and aspirating there are not many veins to worry about

Yes, exactly, inner quad has normally much more veins then outer quad. In my case, outer quad has also less fat. But its kinda weird to pin in the outer side, because muscle seems to be much harder and more stretched, and its very weird sensation...

lol. I know. Seems everyone is good to go pinning quads but my quads start spasming and twitching so bad. I've just given up on quads.

Oh, that's what all those 29g pins I bought are for? lol

Oh, ok if you spasm and there’s no way around it, skip quad, because you can get injured or bad scartissue. If you bought 29G 5/8” or longer, good, your muscles will thank you. Take in mind, 29G bend very easily, although they should not break. But you’ll have a hard time to pin in glutes and lats.

I thought you were joking about me jumping around. My quads don't like it. SMH.

    Also, I have 25g. I mistakenly said 29g.

I use 25g for test, etc and insulin 29g for my peps.

Ditto. Being an ex paramedic, when in a pinch I do SQ also with the same just at 45 degree and not going all the way in. No knots although I do take my time with it. 30g with .3 was leaving knots so I went this route. No problem

Have you tried to slightly go to side of the injection site while your in? That is one reason I go very slowly. If I sense my quad "jumping" I slightly alter the angle to where I no longer "jump". Working great for me. 25 g is the way to go for me.

I agree(less nerves and tendons)...I like the outer quad especially with Prop... I usually have no PIP or very little and always been able to work that muscle if I was on a ed pinning schedule... I'm doing eod with my Prop/NPP!

23g for quads(outer) , but this time due to the amount of oil (4-5mil) 22g for glutes (not tried it yet).

Will try it. Thanks. My quads are big, no real reason for this. It has to be something I'm doing cuz no one at the gym has this.

i use 22 to draw, 25 to pin, both are 1 inch.....i boil water, add cool water to just above what i can stand
a finger in...put the bottle in and let sit, asbottls temp will adjust water temp rapidly,
i used to just warm with a gel pack,,,,shake the bottle before i draw......i am on hrt, so my
volume is only 1 ml.....but since i have been warmimg the bottle, i have not had any
charlie hhhorse feeling in my quad, not that it stops me from working legs, just alittle
bothersome....my quads are not huge so 1 inch is all i think i would use
