Since when did Plus Size become Morbidly Obese?

I was watching TV last night and glanced over at my Wife's People Magazine on the couch.

Look at this Woman, her name is Tess Holliday. She's 5'5, 280 pounds and a Size 22. Since when did a Woman with these dimensions become "Plus Size" in the media? In years past, "Plus Size" typically referred to Women who were Size 12, 14 or even a 16 if I recall correctly. Not a Size 22

She is NOT a Plus Size, this Woman is Morbidly Obese!

What are we becoming when we glorify irresponsible behavior like this?

IDK, I just found this very disturbing...
