Most of the people coming here are NOT fleeing due to persecution anymore. Those who are can easily apply for citizenship or protection and wont be deported but now no one worries about being deported at all. Even if they are picked up for a crime they are released right away.

We have a special enforcement group called Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) that are supposed to pick them up from the jail and deport them but instead they take them just a couple of blocks away and drop them off.

Speaking of illegal immigrants, now they can register to vote because the supreme court decided today it's not right anyone should have to sho ID or prove citizenship when registering to vote. Really???

It may not be "democracy" but how should someone have the right to vote who is not a worker or a business owner? They will only vote for the party who gives them the most stuff. Not everyone is truly equal.

That part rings true to me. I don't think someone who makes money like Bill Gates should get more votes than me but I also think that if the government is supporting you, you shouldn't be allowed to vote government offices.

If those who take and have no qualms about taking handouts keep having kids and those kid grow up and take hand outs and have kids then we will have a system of increasing hand outs. Our American president, Barack Obama has decided that because of some States In The US still flying The Old South Confederate Flag over their capitals it has sent a message of hate against African Americans. And is why African Americans are being killed in our cities everyday by whites and blacks. Even this latest rampage shooting in the southern church in South Carolina this last week was caused by that flag still flying, according to Obama. So he went on American television the other night and declared that the old Confederate Flag will no longer fly. Yep it's just that simple according to our President who declared that the old south flag was the main cause of racial hatred in America and by taking it down will stop the daily slaughter of Blacks in America. On average there are 10 to 15 blacks killed in the streets of Chicago and it's suburbs on a daily basis alone! So by taking down the old south flag according to Mr. president, no more blacks will die in America! I mean who knew? Wow I had no idea that the old flag had that much power. I had no idea that the flag was flown to promote hatred in America! i always thought it was a symbol of southern pride in the Old south and not so much about slavery and extreme hatred of Blacks! But now that we Americans see the error in our thinking by our President Barack and once and for all take down these disgusting symbols of such dire hatred, and save thousands of African American lives yearly by banning these horrid flags from American soil we can all breathe a little easier in the morning when we wake up and discover that not one Black person lost their life in America because Barack Obama declared that all the deaths of Blacks in America were attributed to that awful flag! Sometimes in the past i have made jokes and wise cracks about you united states of americans and your open border policy. But i really do sympathize with you on the national level. The biggest issue in my country at the moment is national security. And it all comes back to keeping the borders protected. they want to come and exploit us for there own personal gain. They come with out documents. We don't know who they are, where they came from, what there intentions are, what diseases they might have. Are they conducting some form of espionage? All these things are unknown until you interrogate the subject. When it comes to illegals as far as i see it they are trespassing on land that does not below to them and should not be subject to rights given to citizens. Australia's border policy is one step below north korea and that is the way i like it.

I grew up poor and I do remember a brief time we were on food stamps, my parents were very ashamed about it.

That was a good lesson in itself.

But I do see your point.

Welfare should be extremely limited, timeframe and qualifications.

You can't let people get comfortable with the handouts or they will rectify their situation.

Me and my siblings are all very hard workers and self employed, never had a hand out and dont want one.

I believe that sooner or later something major has got to change, I have no idea how. Does saying that imply all Mexicans are criminals? Of course not, and it can only be taken that way if the individual wants to take it that way because they don't like the person speaking.

How this election will more than likely pan out - voters will be swayed by whoever gives them the strongest emotional high. Yeah there are a lot of things about him I like also one being not afraid to say what he thinks except when he was under the gun after the NY disaster how he sucked up to Obama but that may have been because he was desperate and was hoping that he would actually come through with his promises and help? Maybe him getting stabbed in the back personally by Obama has hardened his resolve and he will be less likely to bend next time.

The system was good, we've simply perverted it over the years. In all democracies that have ever existed, those elected still ruled over the people. They were or are elected, but they still hold power over the individual and decide what is and isn't in the end. The U.S. created a system where the individual ruled its government and government only reached out its arm when the liberty of the individual was threatened. Over time this role has slowly reversed and now our government reaches out its arm and decides what liberty an individual may hold.

The answer, revert to how it was done before. Its proven to be effective and created the strongest country that's ever existed. However, I'm afraid it may be too late to revert as most people have become drones and slowly accepted what we've become.
