That's awesome you were able to source the specific part. I've been doing mostly building this year, and still not finished. Working on bikes mostly, but I bought another yfz450, carburetor model and the thing bogs like crazy off of idle as you give it throttle. I dunno if it is because he retarded the exhaust cam or if there is another issue. The dealer said to change the plug, it is basically on the back burner as I get time I work on others first. But now I want to sell the dumb thing. The idle air screw on the carb is ridiculously hard to turn, and took me forever even to get it to idle. I replaced the boot between the carb and the intake manifold, as it was cracking and had sealant on it, didn't help anything either. Jetting doesn't fix the problem.

This weekend I finished the clutch rebuild on my cr500, and ready to reinstall everything, but realized I probably need a new clutch lifter, which is on back order, then I was torqueing the case bolts and broke one off so had to split the cases again. It was weird though my lifter wasn't engaging early on and then if you slide it out so it butts up against the stator stopping plate it doesn't engage at all, the lifter is pretty worn and lousy looking. 58 bucks, and now after looking at my kick start shaft it looks like it is worn as well at the oil seal location, just like I had to replace all my collars. That's another 100 bucks. I don't think I will rebuild a motor that old again, or find one that was better taken care of.
