I've never gotten that. I like my toys to look and run like new or better. Cleanliness makes a lot of difference also. You would think they would clean it before selling it at least.
Yep I was quite shocked he didn't even clean the air filter. But the market right when I bought it was kind of going crazy and every vehicle I called on would sell before I could look at it. I rode another one that ran right but the thing was hammered cosmetically.

He told me he had a full service done, where they checked the valves, adjusted the exhaust cam back to stock, jetted it etc. I went to the service dealer and had them pull his record. Apparently they did the full service, but only checked the valves, never touched the timing, checked the jetting and said it was good. Really they did nothing but check everything and clean the carb. So I was assuming it was just some problem that needed a fix. I'm going to try your suggestion and then change out the plug if I can find time.

I bought two of these things recently, have always liked them but really dirt bike more, after I buy my wife her nice fuel injected R model, she finally tries riding a dirt bike. And sadly I think she likes the bike more. I was thinking the quads would be decent for taking the kids on put put rides and still have something I could have fun on, but now I dunno about the space they take up in my garage. I would almost rather sell them and get a side by side the smaller kids can ride in and I can go as slow as I want while they are riding their little machines. Just a little out of my price range right now, since I want a new house.
