Supercharger vs. Turbo - Which is best for Torque?

Its all relative and comes down to a dollar price and personal preference. $$$$ Superchargers have a nice whine noise. Forced induction is sik but NA is awesome. a nice big cam and a stroker kit is pure boss. If you have the cash Just get both.

That's why you take your stock cats and gut them. No way to tell unless they take it off and look inside. Ive gutted or replaced the cats on 3 different vehicles and each one passed emissions better without them and No they did not have high millage.

Agreed, blower over turbos for low end torque and of course gearing.

Depends on the turbo you want you could use a smallish turbo and run medium boost esp with the volumetic efficency of the v8 engine you have you wouldn't have to go wild to break the 600bhp mark.

You could go for a rotrex supercharger which is basically the inlet side of a normal turbo which will hit plenty of boost and there is plenty of kits for your car. You may need to run bigger injectors and fuel pump with your high comp. 11.5 is high enough but modern turbos run that comp but they have knock and map sensors running all the time to pull the boost back if needed.

No hassle. You are near Dallas aint yeh? Try going to 21st century cars in Dallas we randomly visited there when I was in tx 2 years ago and they had a twin turbo camaro in there with a zo6 c5 twin turbo too and a modded ctsv also.

Yeah and all that gets to be a big PITA and $$$ quickly. Ive been lucky compared to many I have read about. I went from stock 9b twin turbos and 360 injectors too 13g twin tubos, boost controller, 550 injectors, high flow fuel pump, air fuel controller, ping sensor and about $200 every time you want/need to run it on a dyno for tuning.

Unfortunetly as you know lb bhp comes at a price especially when you have done the na mods already there is very little head room left in the engine.

Any form of forced induction will cause the car to need extra fuel etc. And changing the injectors isn't too hard but the ecu that may be needed isn't cheap but certain standard ecus you can flash etc and use them.
