Man im in a similar situation... been with my girl for over 6 years now and I think its time to pull the trigger. The only thing that scares me is asking her fathers permission. I really dont think he would say no its just the idea of trying to go over there and just talk to him about it. OP did you ask her fathers permission?

It's not as hard as u think. I just told her dad that I'm go I going to take care of his daughter for the rest of my life and showed him the ring. (He was happy)

Two of the brothers are really cool. They are really happy about it. The other isnot big on talking and I get the vibe that he doesn't like his sister dating me but what ever.
