So very satisfying to see a loud mouth go down that hard. Maybe next time drop the mean mug and tap gloves like you have a modicum of respect for the sport if not your opponent. Deserved.

Totally. I just believe that we're overthinking it. Holm got Rousey's respect very early; Rousey got beat up.

Rhonda was exposed. She's a brawler on her feet at best, good ground game. She final came against someone that wasnt afraid of her, was stronger and more skilled. As time goes on more girls from boxing, mauy thai and other types fighting that have been fighting longer then this first batch of women will start to come into the ufc you will see more title changes and the womens class will evolve. It happened with the men and will go on until they are 100% full mixed martial arts. These girls are just the first batch, many much better will come. Shes the Chuck Liddell of womens UFC, thinking she will retire as champ, hahaha.

WOW. You can see how progressively sloppy Ronda's performance was. Good fight.

she looked exhausted but it might just have been that she was out of it from taking so many hard shots

I just read that Ronda's jaw was broken in 3 laces and she went in for surgery right after the fight

Wow. I bet is was that elbow hit to the jaw that shattered it. Holly put her shoulder and entire left side into that elbow hit.

That might help explain why it was hanging open the whole time. And apparently her bottom lip was split all the way through and the tear extended down an inch or so.

Wife and i were just talking about that... During the fight i thought maybe her nose was broken since she had her mouth open and breathing heavy but with a broken jaw it makes more sense

If I recall, in her corner between rds 1 and 2, her mouth was drooping open. It made her look unfocused.

Wow watching it now was much more fun. Last night working as security for a sports bar I was on front door i.d. checks so I was hearing everyone screaming but no clue what was happening.

Although major props for fighting even with a broken jaw

I was more impressed with the under-card female fight. Those two kicked each other's asses and it was great to watch.

I totally agree she looked soft. I was very surprised at the outcome of this fight. I watched Holly fight other women that Rousy dominated and she barely won those fights and I actually had the other girl winning at least one of fights. Crazy night at the UFC but congrats to Holly I think she better enjoy while she has it. I think Rousy will come back with great vengence.

Wow, she kind of summed up this fight in advance...

Yeah, it's funny how the transitive property doesn't hold in the fight game.

For sure. I've tapped to many rear naked chokes that weren't under my chin at all, but rather around my jaw. It feels like your jaw is going to snap at your chin. The pain is agonizing before anything breaks; I can only imagine what it feels like after it breaks.

It turns out that her jaw isn't broken, though, nor was her brain concussed.

Yeah, I saw (and believed) the broken jaw story, too. It was click bait.
Dana said in the post-fight presser that an immediate rematch made sense to him and Holm agreed. My guess is Ronda probably has that option in her contract and they're waiting to see if she wishes to exercise it.

Yep. 11 consecutive title defenses, ambassador for the sport, role model for young women with body image issues, who cares if she touches gloves before the fight; she was a fantastic champion.
