    I know I'm not nuts..... The basis for it was that there are 1% of people who are essentially immune to HIV or AIDS. They looked at what it was that made them that way and then made it into a vaccine that costs upwards of $50,000. I want to say RV144? I could be wrong.

    I'm looking now and for the life of me I can't find it. I'm finding info on scientists being "close" to a vaccine.

    If I come across it I'll post it.....

    I recall reading years ago that a Scandinavian population (maybe the Danish) lack the receptor needed for HIV infection.
    Though a vaccine isn't a cure, it would certainly be good for the rest of the world that doesn't yet have HIV.
