    Wouldn't I be charged with murder though....? Even thought it's in self-defense, wouldn't it be murder? :/

    you can still intend to kill someone and only be charged with manslaughter. it does not have to be accidental.

    yes it would be murder if you did it but if he attacked you and you did it in self defense you might be able to get off if he is not severly injured.
