    Black (and Blue) Friday

    Two weeks into a 12 week test/tren a/mast cycle. Pinning ED. 350 mg of each compound weekly. 50 yrs. Third tren cycle/first time using Mast.

    - Pinned left delt for the first time in several years on Tuesday morning (Use quads/glutes generally)
    - Had some swelling/soreness in delt on Tuesday after pin but didn't think much of it.
    - Used 25g 5/8" pin.
    - Trained delts on Thursday (yesterday) morning fairly hard. Still had some minor shoulder pain at injection site.
    - Worked through pain via Advil and had no issues after workout.
    - Woke early Friday morning and noticed fairly severe bruising on left delt and down side of arm. Gruesome looking no doubt.
    - Have never had bruising anything like this before in any body part from pinning.

    My questions:
    - What happened? Any thoughts on what caused this? Can I pin delts going forward? Any advice on how to avoid this? I'm not in pain but want to avoid looking like was in MMA title fight (losing end).

    Will attach pics. Not sure what to think of this guys. Appreciate any advice and thoughts on this strange situation.

    The 5/8 may not be going deep enough into your muscle. I mean you look lean enough for it but if you're not going all the way in with the needle that could be causing the issue. Try a longer needle for your next pin, say a 1'.

    OK. Can definitely try that. Do you push a 1" needle all the way in LL then pin or leave some of the needle exposed? This is really a nasty bruise. Man I really did a number on my body. Because I am pinning daily its not much fluid that needs to go in.

    I second this by LL - 1" and more than .6ml seemsyiu got some in and some out of the muscle(not a big deal If deal your doing trt shots 2x wkly)

    Try the 1" pin and I do burry mine to the max - just don't push excessively hard on the pin against your pinning site - that can cause bruising too/or excess volume in a sm muscle... but it's not much volume! Hmmm try easing the shot in 60sec per ml

    Is that bruised?

    If it is, it means you hit a vein, or artery considering the bruising size.
    Dont pin that spot anymore, you need to be aware of blood vessels when injecting.

    I have had oil migrate from not pinning deep enough, and this looks much worse.

    Yes it's bruised. I pinned the middle head of my left delt. It was swollen after I pinned but the bruising didn't appear until I trained shoulders two days later. Never had something happen like this.

    I assume the bruising will fade. Any thoughts on needing anti biotics? Never seen something like this

    It looks to me like you will be fine but I agree with bb. Why Pin a small group anyway? Try a quad or your glute. I have screwed myself in the past with test prop by pinning my calves. Back then lots of folks believed spot injections could help with gain in a specific area. That is bunk now. If it did work we would all be walking around with enormous asses. Pick a large group imo.

    Update. Bruising is darker but doesn't seem to be growing. No pain. Appreciate the suggestions. Don't see reason to go to doc hopefully will fade away in a few weeks.

    Follow up : took three weeks but massive bruises mostly gone. No adverse effects

    But also no pinning delts since. Ha. Thanks for the help as always guys.

    the DELT is a smaller muscle and you are pinning 350mg of each compound , ED

    it could be to much volume for your delt and that's causing this problem maybe..
