    Agreed.

Can lack of response be attributed to Hindu beliefs of reincarnation?

    To cultural difference?

My observation is a handful of people will take time to care. Even less to help. Those who show are family and very close friends, classy people raised well, people who experienced similar hurt. Sensitive feeling types. So many involved in their own struggles and unaware of the hurt, sadness, circumstances of anyone else. World is more connected virtually but less connected humanly. [emoji22]

I hope student has speedy and full recovery.

After 5-years here I am still learning about this society we live in one thing stands out when this happened. Not a single person from the other faculty or the Director or Dean has reached out asking if my wife needed anything or at a bare minimum seeing how the student is doing. And when asking about getting things done to accommodate the students family (Mom and Dad) with housing she got stuck in procedural roadblocks filled with zero empathy. We had enough sign we needed to pack up and leave already, and this was not required but had there ever been any questions before this it would be clear now.

We sometimes say that different societies do things differently and I agree but not standing by when people are in need or despair very close to you is plain and simple wrong no matter where you live.

Update: My wife's student is out of the ICU, and the Ventilator has been removed, and she is breathing on her own.

    Leg day (Tuesday)

    Bike: Five minutes
Seated hams: 3 working 10-12 reps. Slow and controlled.
Stiff leg deads: 3 sets 15 ish reps.
Squats: About 3 working, one heavy for 12.
    Verticals: 3 sets 15 reps
    Calf crap.

One of those days where everything felt good. Haven't had one of those in a while. Really liked it.

Question about the stiff leg deads. How stiff do you keep your legs?

I have a bend to my knees picking up the bar or d'bells up to my knee level, then legs are relatively straight. I don't force the knee back though, just what feels naturally straight.

Also, FWIW, I've started focusing more on a slower negative portion of the movement and creep it back down to knee level, that's the bottom of the movement for me until the bar or bells are put back on the floor

My knees are slightly bent, not locked stiff. I start the movement by pushing back with the hips, not bending over.

    Nice workout GGR!

Little bit of a slump here myself, got to get out of it.

Darn cat gets on my lap & is so cute and adorable, I just never get up. I'll blame it on him.

Noticed yesterday’s work during yoga - intense workout. [emoji178]

At last second scrapped hiit treadmill for group exercise class which kicked my a$$. All over body calisthenics type. I won’t lie, struggled and pleased.

    Took another body inventory:

    - Need to add muscle generally everywhere - especially tri and biceps and booty.

    - Still have ^ in shoulders but need to add more muscle to back of shoulder.

-Need to drop 10 lbs of fat from tummy (always my problem area). Maybe a bit from inner thigh.

    - I’m still flirting at same weight and need to get more serious about food. I’m not eating ENOUGH!

    Happy Sunday!
