I’ve done it. I could hit 405 for 15 but 500 nearly broke me in half. It’s like going from 315 to 405 on bench. Now I was only 225 and 5’7” so I’m small, might be why it felt like that, bigger the frame the more comfortable you could be. 405 was like 315 for me though, 500 was HEAVY.

Get 3 spotters you trust and have them lift it with you. That’s a good way just to feel it and you can decide if you want to waste your time and taking the chance of injuring yourself. Kel told me he squatted 405 for 20, that became my goal. Much safer. Your pretty far away from 500.

Everything was impossible until somebody did it!

    I've got 99 problems......but my squat/dead ain't one !!

It doesnt matter how good looking she is, some where, some one is tired of her shit.

Light travels faster then sound. This is why some people appear bright until you hear them speak.

Great place to start researching ! http://forums.steroid.com/anabolic-s...-database.html

This is usually just an execution problem that most often pertains to bar path. I’ve seen it happen with a lot of guys. Something as small as a 10 lbs. jump causes the bar to drift just slightly forward on a pull, and suddenly you’ve turned 10 lbs. bar increase into a 50+ lbs. jump just due to leverage advantage loss.
This is true for most all compound lifts, but for S/B/D where you have so many joint angles to factor in, it can get really rough really quickly.

When you have hit your REAL max, not a pr, but what your frame and build can handle 10lbs feels like a ton. Ive been stuck at a certain wait for a long time, thats where I usually called it quits on going any higher because I knew I was going to end up injuring myself.

Edit: I couldn't dead 5 lbs over 635, I actually tried many times adding 2.5's on and couldn't get it.
