    As for me, silybin and its derivatives are the most reliable phytochemicals regarding liver health. It's cheap and widely available, has interesting (although poorly proven) pleiotropic effects. All year round, large doses, at least 3 times a day with meals (poor t1/2)! Don't forget about PUFA (O3 especially), phospholipids are well documented.
