Its gone man.
I can ship my gun parts to another country and break less laws there and serve less time if caught.
I am here to make money. I likely will die doing just that here. If I ever sit down and retire it wont be here.
Theres less americans here every day. Given current immigration in 20 years I hope I am dead so I dont have to go around smelling curry everywhere I go and spending so much time on finding ways around the most densely regulated nation on earth.
70,000 pages in tax code, IRS revenue regulations, and case law surrounding it alone.
Every code was written up by republicans and democrats equally, voted on by them, and defined by judges of both parties.
I have a lot bigger knot in my gut over this than the thought of someone coming into my house and taking my guns, which will never happen.
They will be taken by stroke of a pen and guess what... You cant shoot a non-compliant firearm. So it will stay tucked away and your kid's kids will accept that they are illegal and remember your clinging to them as just something crazy ol grandpa did.
This will happen because we have all clearly acknowledged we will never stand together in a group large enough to be considered anything more than an extremist faction, protesting.
Absolutely. In Poland, you can own both, but you have to apply for another permit, on top of the one or more permits that are already in your posession...
Just way more controls in Europe...
And concealed carry permit = FORGET ABOUT IT... Unless you are a major, major businessman, or have some other reason...
Overall, a much safer place to live...
Most Americans are under the guise that guns are illegal in all of europe when they aren't fully outlawed anywhere to my knowledge.
If they realized this and the percentage of combined taxes the pay in comparison, they wouldn't be chanting, "Merica, freest cuntry in the werld!".
They are basically clueless as to how close we are to losing a power seat we will never get back.
People confused "wealthiest" with "most free."
The thing that is coming next to the US is magazine restrictions.
How is it much safer if you have to apply for all those permits? You didnt say you order the permits, you have to APPLY, which means they can deny it. If honorable law abiding citizens have to beg and jump through hoops, you are not safer. They just havent gotten to you yet.
When I used the term "safer" I meant in regards to random gun violence on the streets, etc...
Safer, in the sense that when a verbal altercation ensues; you can be sure that the guy standing in front of you isn't packing heat. The national gangbangers (made up in this country of each cities football hooligan fans) don't carry guns...
When the police stop your car, they never search you or your car. Thank god for that because last winter I was driving home on a snowy night, made an illegal left-hand turn, and got stopped... I had some weed on me. The cops just cited me, and I was on my way...
Safer, in this sense. Of course I agree with you (as an American, who happens to live abroad) that my rights are perhaps, less safe than in the States, but overall much safer, in a general sense...
