back to this "slavery" thing real quick..
I was called a "racist, weak little white man" by DD. Why ? simply because I quote some historical facts that slaves were taken from Africa on their way to South America to work sugar cane fields and likely have a horrible life , and southern American christians when the ships would stop to port and restock there, on their way to South America, would end up buying some of these 'slaves' to save them from likely doom, and provided them with clothes, housing, a job, and taught them the christian faith.
so because I stated this fact of history , I'm now a racist weak white man .

the thing is , some people form their ideas and thoughts merely around 'social convention' , what they see around them and the daily experiences of their lives . rather then actual studying and reading facts. they form these strong opinions , mainly out of self pride, but the opinion is just in their head and not based in actual facts and reality.. thats how 95% of most people operate and base their ideas about religion, politics, etc.. just based on their own social conventions and experiences. not actual study.
I didn't just pull that idea of slaves being bought by Christians in Alabama to save them from doom out of my ass .. I take some time to read here and there and develop opinions bases on research , rather then 'social convention'
99% of guys here probably have an idea about the civil war, slavery etc.. based on their life experiences (social convention),, but never took the time to look into it for themselves.
yet they want to have strong enough opinion that they can ridicule me and call me a racist simply because I stated a historical fact based on actual study.
