High DHT Bad. Curbing the side effects Help.

sorry brother, NO .. Proviron would just exasberate the effects of high DHT and make it worse (all Proviron is is a DHT increaser)..

OP.. make sure your not taking an AI and pushing more test to be converted over to DHT instead of estrogen.
Testosterone is like a water hose going through a two part valve.. if you squeeze off one valve too much the water flows more through the other valve. blocking the E2 valve pushes more flow to the DHT valve (if that makes sense)


if you wanted to go "extreme" and get DHT down. you could simply run a Deca only cycle for awhile, Deca converts to DHN and not DHT and displays no androgenic effects on DHT receptors. you could add a very low dose of Dbol (10mg per day) to get some needed estrogen (with very very minor androgenic effect)

your body likes to convert Test to DHT.. so you simply need to re think your protocol.
but personally I would not just jump on an ancillary drug like Finasteride yet without playing around with some other methods

i'm not taking and AI. I don't think i'll go the extreme route. how does PSA play a role with DHT? perhaps i should lower my dose?

high T4 and T3 can raise SHBG
T4 and T3 are thyroid hormones

OP, I was going to reply with how I like to run my dht on the high side of normal, but now that you posted your numbers, holy crap that is high!

I have said that I personally won't touch Fina again, but if my dht got that high, I would reconsider my stance.

Looking at your other numbers, if this is hrt, you have some opportunity to reduce your dose and or increase injection frequency.

All that said, how in the frack are you sitting at a PSA of 1.1 with dht that high?? I am jealous

over all it sounds like i need to test my T3 and T4, as well as lower my dose. fudge, i know that's the simple answer, but i kinda dont want to lower my dose, but i'll try to. does this need to get figured out before my next cycle?
