When I shift my pelvis forward and lean back a liiitle, the pain goes away. It’s almost like my upper back is supporting a great load than it should.
I’ve seen other threads about this, but not many answers. Some people think it may be kidney related, but I disagree. I’ve had kidney pain in the past, and this feels totally different. Also, kidney pain doesn’t radiate this high up the lats...it starts in the lower back and radiates out around the obliques, in my experience.
Any thoughts?
Possibly a subluxated rib. Any hard hits recently or a pinching sensation around your ribs?

Hydrate, try taurine, potassium rich foods such as avacado, etc. Deload for a few weeks. Try deep tissue massage, particularly for the back muscles.
There are 3 loves in my life: my wife, my English mastiffs, and my weightlifting....Man, my wife gets really pissed when I get the 3 confused...
