No compression sleeve, just a thick cushy arm brace. I added my own adjustable hand rest because the strap that goes over your thumb to hold your hand up sucks and cuts off circulation. I used a plastic laddle. LoL
It actually works great. Handle rest under your arm and hand on top. Adjust as needed.
The only swelling I had was where the blood was pooling in the triceps but it went away for the most part after a few days, especially after I started to let my bare rest freely out of the sling.
Some doctors want you to start PT in a few days and you do need to have someone help keep your arm moving to keep range of motion and not stiffen up but after my last battle with the bicep and rotator tendon coming detached I like to wait a few weeks with very limited movement to give it time to heal. It's to easy to accidently use your own muscles to move it and have a problem later.![]()
