My blood pressure is lower, I no longer have sleep apnea, I no longer have GERD, I no longer feel like I'm going to die every time I have sex, I can actually walk up a hill, my muscles don't cramp up constantly. It's not until you're in the hospital when you realize how dumb this "hobby" really is. It's pointless. You're not going to keep all that muscle. I suggest anyone just take a TRT dose only if you need to... I too had really bad acid reflux but it has calmed way down since getting off everything. I feel so much better, health-wise.
Honestly I’ve been very lucky with how my body handles steroids. I don’t experience any negative sides, except terrible acne on my back. I do wonder if steroids m themselves or all the over-eating I’ve done have caused this reflux problem. Because as far as I know it doesn’t run in the family.

You’re very right about it being pointless to try to gain all this muscle we’re never going to keep and put our bodies at risk, but it does bring me a little bit of joy and it’s about the only thing I can do right now that makes me somewhat happy.

    Lol

In my case with my gi BS, it's my gallbladder. It comes in & out when it wants - I pass gallstones semi regularly now. IMO it's related to my high estrogen caused by of course - my roids < but, that's just my opinion. . . . But, now at least I know how to deal with it better - sorta
Yup, sounding like a hater. I have the same issue with my gallbladder. When I was having the stomach pains and got an endoscopy, I asked the doctor about it. He said what you said about high estrogen causing gallbladder stones in men who take steroids.

I hear you. That’s kind of how I felt when I started them. They got me out of a rut at the time. I don’t regret anything really. Just stopping for the last 6 months made me realize how much bs I was dealing with even just being on TRT at 245 lbs. I had sleep apnea, needed to donate blood every 2 months, occasional mood issues, and then had some health issues, gallbladder pain, shingles, appendicitis. Creatinine and egfr at their normal limits, hematocrit always on the higher side. It might be related to the eating and body weight in addition to the steroids, I don’t know. Just so many things just to have an extra inch on my arms and 10 extra lbs of lean mass. In a way I kind of take it as a blessing that I may be more sensitive to steroids since I can never really overdo them. I never went over 1000 mg total per week. When I get back on, I’m gonna stick to lower doses and just try to make my current weight of 235 look better.

Anyway, if some acne and acid reflux are the only side effects you are experiencing from steroids, then I consider you lucky. For me, sugary foods, alcohol (except gin and soda/tonic), spicy foods, tomato sauces, and fried foods all messed me up. Seems like you already made a lot of changes to your diet, so I’m not sure what else to say but I hope you find the issue and feel better.

I hate spicy food so no worries there. I maybe have fried food once a week… it doesn’t seem to bother me. Red sauce really messes me up if I eat it close to bed so I don’t do that. I don’t drink alcohol and I’m not big on sweats.
