My daughter said eat something every 3 or 4 hour, making sure to eat before taking any medication, Sugar and carbonation makes it worse also.

Basically fixing her diet made it go away for the most part.

I don’t eat much, if any processed food but maybe I’ll have to check some of the drinks I have, although I really mostly drink water. I do try to eat frequently, I really have to to be able to get my calories in. The only thing I know will for sure mess me up is eating any kind of food with red sauce (pizza, lasagna, pasta) right before bed will really mess me up.

I had my appointment for the barium swallow yesterday. That’s were they have you swallow a liquid they can see on an X-ray. They have you swallow it, and they follow it down with the X-ray machine and see if it comes back up. Mine showed no reflux. I kind of figured it wouldn’t because I’m not having heartburn nor do I feel any reflux during the day. I feel like my nights are the worst. And all these symptoms I’m having now are new as of December. From everything I’m reading I think this is LPR or silent reflux. I just hope I can get it under control because my throat is killing me and this constant cough and clearing my throat is getting old.

My mom had the cough and clearing throat thing for years. She had the H. Pylori bacteria. After a round of antibiotics she hardly ever has any issues now.

I have heard of this. I don’t know why this wouldn’t be the first thing they check for? Instead of having me on ppi’s and doing all this other stuff first.

I know exactly why they dont check for that first. $$$$ Its not the doctors, its the Damn insurance companies/lawyers who tell them what they can check for and when, in what order. its Maddening. Im going through it right now with my neck issue. Nope cant just fix the dame problem, got to do the same stupid test 3x even though the doctor says this is what needs done. End rant.

I didnt hear you mention the cough before, I may have missed it. Are you on any blood pressure meds? I was on lisinopril and it caused me to have a cough for months that also irritated my thourgh.

No blood pressure meds. All these symptoms are new as of December last year. I made the mistake of eating some pasta right before bed and woke up that night coughing uncontrollably. That was December 19th, and I have basically had a sore throat ever since. The first two weeks after that night it was the worst throat pain I’ve ever had.

Up until then, I never had this issue and I literally ate just about whatever I wanted and did whatever I wanted and as long as I took my 20mg of otc omeprazole I was fine.

I believe it was end of October or early November that same year i mentioned to my primary care doctor I had been on ppi’s for awhile now, so he referred me to a gi specialist and prescribed me omeprazole to help save me some money. The omeprazole he put me on was 40mg.

So only two things changed I can see in the months leading up to this. I went from 20mg of omeprazole to 40mg. And about 4 weeks before this started I went from 125mg of test e per week to 500mg of test e and 500mg of deca.

I can’t imagine taking more omeprazole causing other issues I didn’t have before? And I’m worried it can’t be a coincidence that I started using more gear and I had this symptoms. But I’ve never had this issue before, even when running more gear, orals, tren, etc. and I really can’t seem to find anything definitive stating aas can cause this.
