It worked out nicely for an old man. I timed it to coincide with a dive into the 20 rep squat program. The goal at the time was strengthening and improving squat and improving my cardiovascular strength.

Basically 20 reps with a dry bar, 20 reps with a plate per side, 2 plates per side, 3 plates/side, ( occasionally 2 sets @ 3 plates/ side), then drop back to 2 plates/side , then a plate/ side. These were all a modification of breathing reps...unrack, step into position, grab a few deep breaths, brace, knock off 3-4 reps, grab a few more breaths, re-brace, knock off a few more, lather, rinse, and repeat until I got my 20 reps for the weight I had on the bar.

I have a string of heart problems caused by viral myocarditis back in '06/'07, so I didn't want to delve into a heavy cycle.

Anyway, it worked out nicely. My conditioning improved, picked up some decent LBM, and my old joints didn't give me grief.

I had some C-spine a while back and I plan to do something very similar soon. My neurosurgeon cleared me for squats again, but I may use my 45° leg press instead of squatting. I'm undecided right now.

So, in a nutshell, the test/tren/deca experience was one I liked well enough to repeat. The dosages weren't heavy, the sides were minimal, and I got the results I wanted.

There are 3 loves in my life: my wife, my English mastiffs, and my weightlifting....Man, my wife gets really pissed when I get the 3 confused...
