its liberal progress man, bidens just trying to keep the shelves stocked, because everything is so expensive nobody can afford to buy anything.

regarding firearms specifically though, im at the point where i really dont want to spend any more money on anything gun related at all, at least for the mean time. seems like things keep breaking around the house and i getting hit with all kinds of other expenses too.

bro, i bought all kinds of ammo during the trump years, i think the 5.56 was 30 cpr, and i got some 9mm for 20 cpr.

apparently ammo isnt too bad right now, at least compared to what it was during covid.

9mm and 5.56 is still somewhat affordable. The magnums and exotics is what is so crazy

exotic and magnum ammo is exactly what i dont have stocked up. i have 10 rounds total of 500 mag, and probably 3 boxes of 10mm.

I just ordered 100 rounds 300 win, 276 bucks, and 60 rounds libery defense, 2400fps and underwood 1600 fps…10mm. 60 rounds cost me 100 bucks.

Ammo is like gold, it depends on market value. I need to stock up on 5.56

agree 100%, the more ammo you have on hand the better. anyone whos been into firearms for awhile knows how ammo can fluctuate significantly in price and availability. for me, the impact the sandy hook shooting had on availability left ingrained a need to have enough ammo to always be able go to shoot whenever i want.

5.56 is especially important because its so much fun to plink with, has decent range and isnt terribly expensive.

Shit, reloading is still insanely crazy priced. A box of 1000 primers online will cost you over $100 right now. At a brick and mortar store you're looking at like $300 for 1000 primers. Powders are still at least 25-50% more than what they used to be. And projectile prices are still kind of up there.

Black powder and its substitutes are considerably more than what they used to be, but seem to be the most resistant to price gouging. It's been pretty much the only thing I've been shooting lately.

I got an email alert from Midway for large rifle primers being back in stock. They went out of stock in less than 20 minutes.

There are bots that buy up everything as soon as it's available and they'll resell it on gunbroker for a markup.

The way they flew out the door, I figured that was happening. With supplies being this unpredictable, I wish they would limit people to a 1000 or so.

I was in Sportsman's Warehouse recently and one of the idiots that works in the firearms area saw me with 3 boxes in my hands....2 boxes of ammo and 1 box of bullets. He tried to flout his authority/ lack of knowledge by telling me I could only purchase 2 boxes of ammo.

I pointed out that 2 boxes were ammo and 1 was bullets but he was "Nope, 2 box limit". I handed all of it to him and he asked me what he was supposed to do with them. I told him to put it back on the shelf so he could learn the difference. I'm usually pretty laid back but he's a "gun counter" cowboy with a shitty attitude so I had to return the favor.

Came home and ordered what I wanted and then some from SG as far as ammo. Sportsman's Warehouse was overpriced on their HSM .270 Win; I was just going to drop a little biz with a local brick and mortar store while I was there.
