Filtered draw syringe

I picked up some 1mL glass ampules, I’ve never used glass ampules before. I was doing some research on drawing from a glass ampule and each video showed the fluid being drawn with a filtered draw needle. Does anyone have any experience with filtered needles? Will it filter the steroids out of the fluid? Or am I over thinking this?

Overthinking. Most UGLs and homebrewers filter with .2/.22 micron filters. You know pharma filters their products. As long as the product is in solution , you're fine to filter.

For what it's worth, the necks of most amps are made to snap off cleanly if properly opened. If there's a dot of paint on the neck, face it opposite from your thumbs when you break off the neck. Also, there are amp openers available.

Thank you for this. Yea I tried opening the first one and a shard dropped right in to the solution lol that’s what had me curious about using filtered needle. But I didn’t look for a dot I’ll pay more attention when I go back to it. It did have a blue line around the neck about where it would severe

You can buy filter needles, I have them in case I see some rubber stopper floater in vial, doesn’t happened often but they are handy to have them
