Yeah, man. Same craptacular schedule and long commute. Seems like it gets worse every day. The whole Greenville/Spartanburg area is a beehive of construction. I'm ready to retire, but the 401k isn't quite full enough yet.

The wife is hanging in there. She's better than I deserve probably, but I can't tell her that, lol. She might start slacking on me. She still doesn't drive and at 60 years old, I'm not seeing it happen.

We're both ready for more mastiffs, but I told her that wouldn't happen until she bites the bullet and has the hip and knee replacement done. For now, she has the 2 cats and the rescue beagle.

    How's Mrs. BG doing?
There are 3 loves in my life: my wife, my English mastiffs, and my weightlifting....Man, my wife gets really pissed when I get the 3 confused...

she’s doing great I will tell her that you asked.

Why hasn’t she done the hip? I was in terrible shape and the second one only took me 2 weeks and I was walking a mile. 4 weeks back to work. Tell her I have it figured out…… I’ll give her all the tips 😂

Man, you look up "stubborn" in the dictionary and the only you'll see is her picture. Dragging her to the normal 6 months primary care Dr. appointments is like trying to pull teeth with a set of tweezers. I think she's slowly coming around to the idea.

I definitely hit you up for details of your hip replacement.

I had carpal tunnel surgery done on both of my hands at the same time and she asked me if they would replace her hip and do surgery at the same time. I told her the way to find out would be to make an appointment with the orthopedic surgeon and ask. She rolled her eyes and mumbled something about " I guess I do need to call them".

That’s interesting they did both hands at the same time………..leaves me wondering many things 😆

Tell her if she gets a good surgeon, that goes in from the side and use a robot to set the hip so your legs are the same length it’s a cake walk, a few days of some good pain but it goes away quickly and you feel so much better. My back pain went away, I even slept better. The robot is really cool. They take a scan of your legs before and you put it in the robot and it automatically knows how to set your hip so that it’s the same exact length, they screw it to your upper hip, it’s pretty crazy

LMAO....the guys at work had all kinds of questions. Mainly how do you wipe after you drop a deuce? I just told them I never have to go in wrist deep to get clean. I did wear gloves while taking care of emptying my guts; it helped hold the gauze in place. But yes sir, I did have both done at the same time. Dr. said 2 hands would heal as fast as one hand. They were both in pretty bad shape. I feel like I could've done back in 4 weeks, but both my employer and the Dr. said 6 weeks.

I'll relay the hip info to the wife here in a few. Thanks!!

The right one is almost 100% The left was the worst one in regards to the carpal tunnel issues, plus the nerves in the left arm aren't back up to par. On the other hand, I'm still working, so I'm not going to complain.
