I want to see a nation where i see a person walking down the street... not a black man... an mexican... an white man............

just a man........... but i fear i will never see it in my lifetime... and i only have 40 years to go...........

I'm black and not prejudice or racist. I have heard this debated before at my college and the out come is usually the same. The word Nigger was used by slave owners and it meant: ignorant or uneducated, lazy and dirty. Since the word was used only by white americans and europeans during the first years of the triangle trade nigger became the same thing as saying black. The reason IMO that it bothers people is because it reminds us of our countries ugly history(linchings,oppression, racism, slavery ext.)
The word Nigger does not bother me because by defintion I know that I'm not one.
