my buddy is 5'7" and weighs 188 lbs. he want to cut up some what amount of calories , fat, carbs., protein should he be taking in daily. he trains pretty hard.. thanks

This needs to be posted in the diet forum. You can also find lots of information there to help answer your question.
First off, wrong forum. However, you need to find out what your daily calorie expendeture is, and then slowly drop about 250-500 calories per week until you start losing 1-1.5 pounds per week. Make sure that you keep protien at 1.5-2 gms per body weight, only stick to complex carbs and only healthy fats. Only eat p+c or p+f meals. It is so much more in depth and im sure that swole cat and others can help you over there.
