Wish i had discovered bodybuilding earlier. Just started 8 months ago. Currently sitting as a disrepectable 6'3 175lbs 12% bf 20yrs old
IMO it doesn't matter what age you started training at. Everyone wishes they'd started earlier. At least your on here getting sound advice from some of the best and smartest people in the know on BB, PL and AAS. I started training consistently in 1994 and had only the bad advice from friends and magazines.

Started weight training because an ex gf made a comment about how tiny I was... So I started for the wrong reason but I am glad she said that now because 5 years later and I am so glad I found the gym.

Got into bodybuilding because of watching a documentary featuring Flex Lewis called "Superhuman: Super Strong" when I was younger. Dude was a beast, even back then.

I had always lifted until I left the military. I got depressed and lazy so I stopped. 2 years later at a new job I pissed one of the girls off because I'm usually an enormous dick to everybody. She had recently seen my wife for the first time (who is a 12 on a scale from 1-10), and she said "what the fack does your wife see in you"? Everything fell into perspective that I was a sloppy dickhead at that moment. The next day I went and signed up at the local YMCA. I'll never look back because now I look too good.

Not necessarily into body building per say, just into being healthy, looking good, and pushing my fitness. I'm pretty active in outdoor sports so there's a limit to how big I want to be.

I started lifting at 16 but had no idea what I was doing until I was 20. At 20 I started starting strength and finally understood basic programming and the big lifts. I stalled out for a bit so decided to try olympic lifting. Coach was a dick head though so I stopped doing that. Tried Cross fit for a bit then a friend recommended an online coach and that is how I got into bodybuilding. I've been training 6 days a week for almost a year now and am planning on doing my first cycle just after the new year.
I lift to look good, be heathy, and to be able to handle myself physically. Also makes me feel good mentally.
