New Metallica song for their tours quite a decent song but man Lars needs to learn how to drum and cut his ****ing hair

The song has some really great parts to it and I'm glad they are going back to their Kill Em All/Ride The Lightning roots but man "Lords Of Summer" is a terrible track title haha.Originally Posted by DCI
Agreed the name is shocking they have gone back to there old skool sound and fast paced riffs.
Nice few breaks and tangents in the song. I thought it was a bit reptitive tho. If there new album is along that vein it will be decent hopefully they can get the album recorded properly compared to their old stuff the new albums are compressed to death
Up until the mid 90's a lot of my metal albums were 2nd and 3rd generation copies from other friend's tapes. Metallica's old stuff in my experience was very gritty sounding after all the generation losses to my tapes.
My Death and Exodus albums were really awful. Did anybody else tape trade?
Lol I know what you are saying re the tapes all my early metallica stuff is on cd and the master recordings because it was the 80's were recorded in analog so they could not be compressed thankfully.
So on cd they sound good with nice seperation in the bass drums and guitars. But there new stuff like nearly all new rock etc records is compressed to death causing them to clip if you have a decent set of speakers you will hear it which is frustrating
Ive been listening to this during my working sets of Squats the last week or so:
