I wasn't sure that I had the right to speak here today. I am a new member and did not get to meet The Man Of Steel. After I had read how much this man was loved and looked up to, it showed me how Great and Honorable he was/is. I truly am grateful and fortunate to be a member of such Classy, intelligent group of Men. Reading all of this has truly left me heartbroken with the passing of a Titan in the Bodybuilding World. I think new members should read this to see the kind of man that TMOS was/is and what kinda of impact 1 Great, loving being can make. It also shows what Greatness is still here with existing members. My heart breaks for you guys that were close to him and Proud at the same time to be a member of the best forum in the world. His legacy remains through all of you.

I've read about him before and I'm not one to point out the obvious, but I think the biggest lesson he had to teach us all, sadly, was through his death. We're not invincible and just cause we look like hercules does not make us healthy.
And bodybuilding in general... and healthy living, are not one and the same. Whenever I hear pro bodybuilders talking about being a positive role model of healthy living, I chuckle a bit. That's about as far away from healthy living as you can get. I can smoke cigarettes all my life and live to 80. I can be an alcoholic and still live to old age. I can smoke pot my whole life as well and still live past 70.
Living in denial is definitely a part of BB'ing. Some of us need to wake up a bit and realize the effects of the substances we are putting into our bodies.
