These are cool shots. As long as the animal isn't in dangered.

Like the people that go to Africa to kill giraffes, lions,

I've been to Africa 3 times. I've shot 16 animals. All the meat goes to feed the natives( not the baboon ). For the majority this is their only source of protein. They feed you their family's with what we shoot. The fees go to this conservation. A lot of times there are so many animals they are starving. So thinning the heard helps keep them alive.

I feel hunting for sport is a sin.

Especially those exotic giant beasts you mindlessly murdered.

So, you got the most high tech, high powered, can't miss rifle you can afford, and took out a majestic creature for fun.

Any one can yank a bang switch and kill something many safe yards away.

Run the tickets down and choke them to death with your bare hands, or break its neck. Then you can say you took big game.

In sorry if it offends, but them animals have a family, children, lovers, and a life. Snatched out of their prime, just to show how manly one is

I have choked a few deer to death. Their necks are incredibly hard to break. You can turn their head damn near two rounds before it breaks. Animals are here for human consumption. Without them, we would all be dead. Not enough farm ground to feed us veggies.
I have also met cattle smarter than a dog and with more personality. Its just the way of life man. Something dies and something else lives.

Did you read what I posted? The meat and portion of the money go to locals. Their only source of protein or income. Fees go to conservation to fight pochers who kill indiscriminately.

I shot the buff with a double rifle at 100 yards not really high tech. On old male out of breading. Only the old mature males are taken. Research before you condemn. If not for hunters dollars. There would be no game or habitat.

That was a fucked up situation. For lion you have a 21 day minimum at $1000 a day for the professional hunter. Plus the $40k tag. The professional hunter is there to back you up in an emergency and to tell you if it is a mature male. The professional hunter told him to take it. You are my paying for his knowledge. He had to know that was the pet lion on the other property. He still said shoot. The ph should be charged fined and jailed. That wasn't fair chase. The hunter relies on the ph. I don't blame the hunter. But the ph should go to jail.

Look there are not a lot of lions or
Elephant left. There is the deadly 6. Elephant rhino hippo buffalo lion leapoard. Elephants eat any crop locals try them grow to surivive. Hippos and crocs kill natives going to get water. Buff kill more hunters than any animal in Africa. My buff fed a village of 100 ppl. I didn't get a shot on a croc on the Zambezi river. There are more elephants than conservatives shan't you to know. Locals grow corn to feed themselves. 1 elephant will destroy 10'acres a night. It's a different worl there. Baboons will run into a hut and steal a baby and kill eat. Eat the cheek of a sleeping native. People you can't judge from tv. You have to see things first hand to make an inforrmed judgement.

Well said and I know you aren't the type of person that would kill for fun - kudos to you and the villagers for feeding them!!

I know some people love hunting for sport but i find it boring. You see an animal you shoot it. I cant get a rush out of it. If you truly wanted a fair fight between man and beast you would move in and engage the animal with a knife/sword.

    This is just my opinion.

4 years in the infantry and shooting gets boring after awhile.

If you are looking face to face with a Capebuffalo knowing it will charge at 50 feet it's fair. Say you shoot the buff and wound it. It will circle back on you and gore you. Then stomp you into a mud puddle. They can take 15 shots of a .416 rugby and keep coming. No boredom there bud. I've stuck 300 lbs wild boar in the heart with a knife. You won't get a closer kill than that.

Yea there is a few blokes on the farm that go out "pigging" with knifes and bows. Its just not my thing. A respectable hunt to me would be a well trained shooter waiting days for his target. No movement, no sleep, Shitting in his pants and eating only sugar packets. That would be a hunt. Then add in the aspect of counter snipers to the mix and that takes it to another level.

I never made marksman so i was ok with a rifle but dont count on me to take the mark

If you don't get buck fever or "a rush " when a giant buck is making it's way towards you after sitting motionless for the past 6 hours and you drop that site on him knowing you are about to take it out...then your not alive lol...my adrenaline boosts as I'm about to take a life. But That's the beginning. Then after you hit it, spore tracking it like an apache through the woods..then finding it , say my prayers and give thanks to the animal and god for the meat to feed my family and me ..dragging a 200lb animal through the woods for a 1/4 mile...I'm not sure what's more a rush..that or telling the story to someone on how that just went downAttachment 167421Attachment 167422Attachment 167423
I'm usually ground and gun guy but I finaly used a cross bow from a tree stand. This buck looked way bigger up there 20' up and 20' away. I wish his rack could have matured more but his body was 190+lbs..been blessed with the meat and been mixing it 50/50 with lean beef.

We have this argue going on in norway these days too. Farmers in the middle of nowhere (ok sorry, Hedmark County) go to the capital to shout at the politicians who said yes to keep 40 wolves in Norway.
Farmers want to kill them all so they can let their sheeps go in peace and no children would be wolffood.

Probleme is that wolfes havent killed one singel human in Norway the last 200 years and the wolfes are only responsible for just 5% of the lost sheeps.

Hm..im not sure if this was a relevant argue lol....im beering with wife

No it's relevant. If they aren't killing livestock or humans I don't see a need to kill them. Now if the population grows and they are a threat to livestock or humans there may be a need to reduce the size of the pack.

And you wonder why you have a hard time making friends.
All your pics you look like your trying to shit a watermelon. You have no delta no arms and a lack luster chest. Do you need corrective lenses? You don't seem to see things the way others do.

Most Americans don't kill just to kill. There are some that do but they don't appreciate the hunt the sun on your back the wind in your face. To see an animal in their living room and them not know you are there. To not take the kill because it's not the one. There are assholes in every country.

OB, keep plugging away man & you are looking good. Granted, it is a contest between the three of you (and you got to admit & you have, you've got some damn good competition), but it also about improvement in the 6 weeks as well.

Cape, those are great pics man & the fact that the meat & money go to a great cause, all the better. My wife's the world traveler, I'm what she refers to as a stick in the mud, plus I didn't grow up with money, so it's not in my nature. Although I did go with her once and spent 3 days in Katmai, Alaska - hanging out with grizzly bears. Surrounded by dozens, sometimes yards away & no guns. The guide is only allowed a flare & in a dozen years, said he only used it once.

Buddy you didn't grow up with money? I lived in a single wide then double wide trailer until I was a sophomore in high school. I didn't either. I'd love to see Alaska.
