I wont call you a liar but since you grew up the way you did remember the only way that you could have gotten where you are is by help along the way from these liberal programs we're talking about. Even if you're self-made, you should have a desire to make life easier on famillies going through waht yours did when you had hard times growing up.

I absolutely agree!!!!! I do have the desire to "make life easier on families going through what I did". However, I don't believe that is governments place in our lives. I try my best to help where I can. I give tithing to my church (Catholic), I volenteer at my local homeless shelter and at one point in time I worked at a non-profit drug rehab as a counsler................ Yes, I did bennefit some some of those programs. Public school for example. As horrid as it was; I did learn the basics that I needed to put me where I am today.

So why not ask the gov to help out with healthcare, education, welfare, medicine and higher taxes on the rich. Giving money to your church is not charity, its contributing to an organization that you are part of, which coincidentaly happens to be the richest organization in the world, and while were on it, (though I do not want to get into a religion conversation) the fact that your catholic probably has a lot to do with why you are republican, its too bad your political veiws are being clouded by your religious values.

I was wondering the same exact thing.

As far as Catholisism being the richest entity on the planet it is also one of the last 2 places they still speak latin, the other is Hell. Also there priests molest kids. So I don't really think they should be denoted for their Christianity.

I see. You feel that it is wrong to group all MUSLIMS together; saying they are all murderous, terroristic pigs. However, you are willing to group all CATHOLICS together because some priests within the vast organization molested children. In no way am I defending what those priests did, quite the contrary. It is my belief there is a special place in Hell for those priests.

i think there should be a draft. in many other countrys when you turn 18 you have to enter the militaty. i think it teacher discipline and gives you selfrespect and confidence. i didnt serve in the military because i am in college, but if there was a draft tomorrow i would gladly go if i was called upon. also if we had a vietnam i would volunteer.

Well yeah, but I wouldn't agree with forcing people to go to war. I would go over and fight in Afghanastan in a second because Ifeel the war on terror is justified. However they would have to court martial me if they tried to send me to Iraq.
