    People from western canada, AB, Sask do say aboooooooooout tho.

    Not in Ont, Qc or eastern canada.

    I do some voice acting in cartoons on the side and I can confirm that there is a distinct difference between the way Canadians and Americans say the word "about". it is not a drastic as comedy shows (like South Park) make it sound...Canadians say "about" the way it is spelt, but Americans throw in an "ah" sound which would sound like "aboaht". All mainstream TV in North America use American pronounciation (which can be hell as a Canadian voice actor).,..it is a lot to think aboaht). There are several words that pop up with difference pronounciation..another is: "progress" Canadians pronounce it as it is spelt...Americans pronounce it "prahgress". Messy, I am surpirsed you noticed...Canadian Emglish is strongly influenced by UK English.
