Great post Ajax-I wish I had seen it sooner!! I am 46 and waiting for my 1st cycle to come now. I was a drug addict and started lifting 12-13 yrs. ago as a "replacement" so to speak. After I hit 40 pains seemed to get worse. Shoulders, knees, elbows, hands-everything started to ache and recovery seemed to take longer. If I have heavy workouts with forced reps-its actually hard to work the next day! I USED TO LOVE THAT FEELING! But no more! I'm doing the deca, test dbol cycle and looking forward to pain reduction with deca. Haven't started yet but will keep progress posted. This is a good section for our ages. My training and diet are good and educated.I'm 6'2" 218lbs. now. Don't know the bodyfat but I have a slight spare tire and a lttle fat in lat and chest area.Keep the posts coming you Buff Older Boys and keep up the good work.

Outstanding post Ajax. I'm 34 now have had my ups and downs in life and the gym. Just getting back into the gym now after a two month layoff ( new house, new baby, etc) Seem to lack the motivation I used to back in the days, so I'm starting a cycle in a couple of weeks, to get me motivated, and to pick up what i've lost. Good luck man and again thanks for a great post....

Wow, your story is almost identical to mine. Only difference is I am 33. But my first experience w/ AS made an indescribable impact on self confidence and personal fitness.

    Cool GREAT POST

I am new here and even though at 42 I have 24 years of AAS experience I am always looking to learn more.
The only thing that I would add is that you try to make friends with your Doctor. Post cycle blood tests are a MUST. You would be suprised by how many YOUNG Doctors are wanting to gain some knowledge in this area.

    oldmanliftr,
Dbol by itself will increase your strengh however other than the excesess weght that you will be lifting it willnot aid that much in size increase. Look into contacting one of the anabolic mods and have them talk to you more on this before you proceed any further.

    Ajax,
Fantastic post man. At 39 I can relate to everything that you mentioned about getting over humps in one's gains. Keep up the good work.

    Great post !!

But it is the abuse of the products that is most disconcerting.. Those that have the idea to put a few pound on and get in shape ... may not need these products at all... But others want BIGGER results ... others still must be massive ... this ideology of massive can get some very bad results ...
I talked to one major pro back stage and he informed me among other things he was taking 30 Anadrol 50's a day !!! WOW !!! you cannot tell me, that in that quanity, that is SAFE !!! Anadrol 50 is absolutely the most toxic in the body ... at its regular dosage ...
I would suggest that using these products reasonably would be better and safer on the body than any surgery to improve anyone's body ...
I feel each individual must make his/her mind up ... that being said ..good luck and stay TIGHT !!!!!

You don't actually believe he was telling you the truth do you....? It's just like when Arnold told his fellow competitors his secret was to drink a gallon of whole milk a day....I don't think so.......

If a person were to take that amount of Anadrol over the course of a cycle you would surely think they would encounter serious liver damage......In this case the benefits would not out weigh the risk........

    Peace Out!

    great post man!

I'll be 35 this year and have decided to put off steroid use for now. I think i can pack on some good muscle for a few years as i've just started lifting again. I will most likely try a few cycles in my late 30's though. Thanks for sharing your experience.

I am almost 36 years old right now. I had always been a FATTY, since I was around 13 years old. Not until I was 28 years old did I finally decide to do something. I went state correctional facility at 316 pounds. After 9 months of exericise, I went down to 240...
After getting out (I was now 31 years old)I went back up to 267 in just a few months. I had to get over this thing once and for all, so I stopped smoking, stopped eating the real junk food like cakes, ice cream and candy and started. I ended up going down to 186......and I am 6'2".

I had people telling me I was too skinny, I just ignored it because I was pretty damned happy......Eventually, tho, I went up to 200 pounds....mostly in muscle gains.

I just started my first cycle with oral Turinabol and Test-e. I think the gains are going to be tremendous!!!!! My diet is EAT ALOT, cause I am trying to bulk. I have been bulking dietarily (is that a word??) for about 3 weeks, and just started my cycle last Saturday. I stay between 201 and 206.

ANYway, thanks for the post......it gives all of us who have not been in great shape in the past....and who are over 30.....hope

That was well written post. Thanks for being the voice for us old guys.. I've been lifting since I was 20 and pretty religiously. I didn't start my first cycle until I was in my late 20's. Then herniated a disc and was shelved for several months. After that, I decided to take it easy and do a cycle of decca. That cycle, whatever it did.. I felt better each and every day. Then I took a break for a few years while still training and went back to cycling in my mid 30's. I stuck with light tests and cutters just trying to have a lean/hard look. I had good density so I had a great looking body. It's been at least 5 years since i've last cycled and I'm still training religiously. For me, at 40 I definitely see the slower metabolism and it definitely takes longer to get back in the groove if you go on vacay for a week or 2. The diet is a mental thing. For some reason, when you're on.. you eat great. I feel the itch to go on something. Even if just for a few months to really right the ship again. I know I would feel 1000X better overall and would definitely be very strict about the diet. I don't want to have to shoot often so I'm considering enanthate since it's once every 6 or 7 days. I may not even do a full out, full blown dose.. just maybe 2 cc's so I don't blow out of my skin. Anyhow.. finding it hard to get a hold of stuff these days. My contacts are all gone.

I'm at the beggining of where you were. i'm suprised that doctors do not diagnose this earlier. I complained of the same symtoms that included major night sweats and fatigue for five years. I became type two diabetic and my doctor never once suggested HRT. I finally saw a commercail and forced him to test me, I came back at 147 (total T). I'm 44 and just started. I'm on T cyp. Had I known about this I would have been tested sooner and maybe would have prolonged the on-set of Diabetes. I certainelly would not have struggled with the thought of old age, mood swings and the possability of an early death. I feel great now and I'm on my way back.

Excellent post. I really enjoyed your post and will pass it on to others.

Have you considered taking Cyp or enthenate between cycles? Just to maintane?

Also new here - my first cycle was at age 43. I just used information I've gathered here, outstanding knowledge base on these forums. I was able to overcome problems caused by an old rotator cuff injury, and just general aging issues. I was able to integrate cycles safely, with minimal side-effects (just a little testicular atrophy).

I'm thinking of running a cycle using Tren, but I haven't made that leap just yet. I will continue to use these forums to investigate THOROUGHLY before doing so, the information here is just outstanding.

I also did my first cycle over 40 - at 42 - I was never a "bodybuilder" but stayed in shape most of my life from 16 until about 38. I lost my shape & became a lazy bum a little too easily.

Long story short - I used THIS WEBSITE and one other to LEARN, LEARN, LEARN... then I PM'ed someone I trusted, found a reputable site for UGL & it's one of the best decisions I ever made.

I just wish our idiot government was as well-informed about the risks & would realize the health benefits FAR OUTWEIGH any negative sides - which of course, can be reduced or outright PREVENTED if you just do a little research.

We shouldn't have to sneak around & worry about love letters from customs to take initiative to improve our health.

Your story was a exact description of where I am (before the cycle ). I am a little nervious but will be starting my cycle after I have lifted another 2 months. I want to be on a steady program first. Oral only. I am still seeking more info and want to feel comfortable with a solid knowledge of what to expect. Thanks for the positive feedback.

Hey bro, same thing here, 34 and just started 8 months ago. It's all about education. My only regret is I have yet to find a descent supplier over the net. Want to start ordering myself but have yet to find a trustful supplier. Ordering myself would really help my wallet.

I'm 34 and presently on my first cycle after having first performed substantial research. I'm on my 4th week now. What a feeling. People are telling me I'm huge. I need to buy new shirts. I finally benched 300 for the first time ever on Friday after trying to do so for 18 years!! Then I threw on 310 and blasted that up too!!

My wife is worn out. I think she is literally going to start running from me. HAHAHAHAHA!

Fantastic Ajax. You've said it all. I started AS at 48 and am now 52 and in the best shape of my life. My partner thinks so too - if you know what I mean. A new body beats Viagra hands down.

    Me toooooooooooo...

    42 yrs..

I know my Test score.. 128 is low.. my doc of 14 years wont do anything about it says it is in the normal range..

My Brother is about the same age and all (atlanta Ga) his doc has increased him to 1.5 per week of Test Cy permanetly..

I talked to him about the effects of excess estrogen.. he is looking into that test as well..

In atlanta they have labs that will do any lab work you want and give the results to you.. cost $125-$$$$

Name on report ... Mr Smith..

    Great post

Nice inspiration. Good to know I'm not the only guy in their 30's doing their first cycle. Too often it's only guys in their 20's posting. Good to hear your experiences.
