OK....back to the dr. today.
First we went over lab results...and I have included link to those below. Keep in mind these test were taken while on 10mg does of androgel.
Basically she didn't say a whole heck of a lot...pointed out the things that are low or high on the test, and a simple explanation as to why. She has prescribed something else from the compounding pharmacy and I have listed the ingredients to that out as well. Anyways...just looking for input. I am still tired all the time, no sex drive, no morning wood...then with the help of cialis I am able to perform...but takes forever to reach climax, and even on the cialis it still takes a long time to achieve a full erection.
She also mentioned that my white and red cells counts where low, and that would be a lack of iron, and that she would add something to the perscribtion to help with that. Well..what I don't get...is why would my cell count be low because of iron...I take a good multi everyday, as well as ZMA every night before bed. Seems like I would be getting plenty of zinc.
Here is what the lable says on what I am taking now...
test75 /D25 /MT5 /ZN25MG /SEL10MCG (take one cap, twice a day)
lab results...
jeepman,
I just went over your very thorough blood work and I'd be willing to give my left nut to get the same results you have. However I believe your doc ought to take another look at your RBC because it is not low; 5.07 in a range of 4.2-6.10. Your WBC is low but only .5 (five tenths) and that can be easily corrected by taking some Folic Acid. Take one or two tabs of 400 mcg folic acid every day until your next blood work and I'll guarantee you your WBC will go up to normal. A lack of iron doesn't affect your white count inso far as I am aware but it would affect your hemoglobin which just happens to be very much in the normal range. Your hematocrits are only one tenth of a point low and is nothing to worry about.
Hematocrits are the percentage of the amount of blood that is occupied by red blood cells that are packed together. Your MCV and MCH are normal so the crits might be just an anomaly. The day before and the day of your next blood test drink a lot of water and it should bring up the volume of blood enough to make up one tenth. You could try taking some iron tabs a couple, three days a week for awhile but unless you have a "serum ferritin"test that shows you are low on iron you probably don't need it. Once your body gets enough iron, it stores it up for quite a while so you don't want to over do it. If you
up your testosterone to 100 mg it will most likely put all of your blood work in the normal ranges, maybe even raise your RBC to the high end of the range.
You might want to have the blood flow to your penis checked if you're having erection problems, esp while taking Cialis. Also some of your symptoms sound very similar to depression. FYI, Check out the following site:
