Nicotine is a highly addictive substance. I was not kidding when I said that my wife and I got hooked on gum. It took MONTHS to drop the habit and I was seriously Jones-ing for just one more for ages.

Be careful with the stuff. Expensive and highly addictive.

Sounds strange, but I have proven that it is true.

Rodge did not have the same experience, so it is like smoking (or smack)... some can do it socially and drop it anytime, other can't.

Thanks man. I used to smoke so I don't want to end up with those unproductive cravings again. It's probably like telling an alcoholic to start drinking one glass of red wine per day for health... where the potential to lead back to addiction is quite strong...

Smoke is bad for your lungs - not nicotine... and I don't think anyone was referring to inhaling cigarettes for nicotine. There's gum and such things...

Here is a thread from another board...

its somewhat like what i've heared bromo can do. you can eat tons of food if you want. you can eat half your maintenance if you want. no trouble either way appetitewise. the subject of nicotine and bromo having somewhat a similar effect on dopamine was discussed here before, and this hunger control thing is an interesting anecdote in that direction.

im not worried about addiction because the dosage is rather small (4mg spread out through out the day. its like 4 ciggies or so) and the nicotine release isn't as fast as with a ciggi (there's no rush of nicotine like with smoking so its less addictive. to me atleast).

just took a break for two days and didn't had any cravings or crash at all (with EC stack my appetite soars to the sky the first couple of days i go off).

anyway if quitting will become an issue down the road i can always take a bit of bupropion (or excert some self control).

As bodybuilders, are we actually suppose to have taste buds anymore? I don't think I can really determine what taste good and what doesn't anymore... it's all about having a goal for everything you put into yourself - whether it's injected, swallowed or whatevea...

If you smoked before.. FORGET IT.

Your metaphor is perfect and dead on.

Some do it... Nicotine to suppress hunger and ephedrine to boost metabolism/energy levels...

znak - yeah, I think I'll stay away from it... I can control my addictions, as long as i can rationalize why something is not good for me - but I don't want to crave them again... they steal oxygen from the blood, tear up the lungs and simply stink...

Im more intrested in the anti-aromatize feature of nicotine
I prefer the nasal sprey then the gum (discusting) or the mints - the nasal sprey is 500 microgram per dose and i love the shock i get afterwards

Yup the nasal sprey is the strongest of them, intended for heavy smokers
