Check these out (MY TOP PICKS)

So you want a kick a$$ liter bike at a good price? My favorites are:
    1) Honda Superhawk (VTR 1000) you can find em used around 3k. We're talking easy wheelies here. V-twin litre bike. Only downside is it's a little top heavy, and you gotta fill it up every 90-100miles. Honestly, this is one of the best deals going. I've owned 4 bikes and still miss this thing. The sound of a V-twin that revs to the moon, ahhh.
    2) Suzuki TL1000S, again, easy wheelie machine, stupid fast, and cheap. Not quite as reliable as the honda but a little faster.
    3) Suzuki TL1000R, Same as the above but with more fairings and a steeper price. Sportier than the tl1000s but heavier.

All three of these bikes are sick fun. I owned a superhawk and highly recommend it. It's comfortable and fast. Harley guys will wonder why their bike sounds like yours and want to race, just laugh and watch them dissaper in the mirror!

I thought about getting a harley, it would be nice to sit back and relax once in a while. Most of my time's spent looking for twisty roads though and the F4i keeps me happy.

Unless you're a complete retard on it you will have a blast

Could you please have a family member notify the board of your demise so we may pay our respects.

The three stages of motorcycle ownership:
    1) Fear; complete and total fear of the bike, afraid you will wreck it or yourself.
    2) Know it all; Been riding just long enough you think you know all the tricks and are willing to try them. Not afraid of shit! You know this bike, you got, you know, like about 250 miles on it, you're badass!
    3) Respect; you are now able to have fun on the bike and enjoy it's capabilities, but have more than likely had it bite you in the ass a few times so that you now realize the bike is capable of 5 times what you are.

If you live to see it, stage three is the best.

Oh, BTW, as for bike selection, a 600 Suzuki/Honda/Kawasaki/Yamaha will all blow your mind and give you great rides for the money. And if you get the six you get the priviledge of laughing your ass off at the idiot who buys the Hayabusa and lays it down the first day.

man i have a 04 cbr 600 rr cant be touched. stock 1/4 mile not many 1000s can touch it. busa only beat me by 3 cars. but yet to race a gsxr. i think they are a sweet bike. r6s have a call back because the rpms arent what they say they are, also first year of the fly by wire,

i think you should go for the gsxr600...maybe even the 750. 1000cc would just be too much for a first bike. i used to have a honda cbr 600 f4i had to get rid of it...god i miss it. if i got a new bike it would be the gsxr nice as hell handles a lot better i've heard.

Then im sorry your racing people who cant ride.

I wouldnt buy a 600. My firts bike was an f3. You do get used to and bored. And thats when it gets dangerous. If you have a 750 or a 1000 and have some respect for it you will be fine.

Everyone talks so much about a busa because its a 1300 and you will kill yourself. These people are ussually never rode. A busa is a very easy bike to ride. It big and heavy. Plus since its a 1300 the power is very smooth.

finally, something i can help on.... DONT BY ANY. if you are a new rider dont get any of them. get a gsxr 750. they have hella Tq and they go plunty fast. the gsxr 1000 are increadable bikes, but bad news for newbies. the R1 is so light in the front end you wont know what to do with it. they arent good street bikes at all. they should be for track only. and never, i mean never get a kawi. they are terrible bikes. you WILL down within your first year, and hard. if you do feel like you have to get one, get a steerin dampner before you even leave the dealership. they dont come with one factory, you will get your first tank slapper and it will be all over. if its gotta be new, gsxr 750. if you dont mind a few years old, get the F4i. they can take a beatin. you can drop a honda over and over and they live. kawi's cant take a hit and gsxr's are just too pretty.....lol

well ya dude, if cource you got board. you were ridin a F3. the F4 had a little 94hp i could imagine the F3 had what.....88? i agree, the 04 600rr is a shitty bike. the 05 is when they actually got some heat to them. the busa is a very fast bike, but its super heavy. its not about speed with them, is more about comfort. hence it being a sport/tour bike. the gsxr 1000 has a faster 1/4 mile time, now, faster top speed and it gets there a hell of a lot faster. the busa is ment for older guys who still wanna go fast, but be comfortable getting there.

With any bike, be carefull. I've been in accouple of small accidents with a bike, and it's not fun. You have to be extreamly focused, because it is easy to be hit be a dumb driver. I've had someone rear-end me at a stop sign. I've had someone sideswipe me, and I've had a dog bite my helmet at a stop light. (At a red light, I pulled up next to a truck. The dog was in the passsanger seat, reached out and bit the top of my helment. Scared the shit out of me)

Don't know where you live, but in Canada, black ice is a MAJOR problem for bikers.

I also cracked my knee cap after falling off of my bike. Always wear a top quality helmet, proper boots and gloves, and a leather suit (pants and jacket.)
