Does everyone still have the same grocery lists? Anyone ever do egg whites? If there is a McDonalds in the grocery store does that count?

fast food is only a substitute for bad preparation and a lack of discipline.

    I agree with this.

Ha um no.. Actually if you were someone who was eating 5 to 6k cals a day of all the right foods its good to shock the system.. Lack of discipline are you kidding? If I have the discipline to eat that many cals a day and get all my carb/protein/and cals I think that would be the least of my worries seeing as I eat/sleep/breath working out/eating.. so please stop "assuming" anything

i eat more than that when bulking and i don't eat fast food. and maybe you should rest more seeing as you don't eat sleep and breathe that.

this is also something to think about...

People go through life taking a lot of things for granted. How easily they could eat whatever they want, when they wanted. They live life on the surface—they don’t try to see below it. When others see a slice of pizza or a burger, they’re thinking about how good it tastes. They’re looking for satisfaction, gratification. For me, when I see food, I see two things and two things only. I see bricks and I see shit. Each good food I eat, well, it’s another brick in this mother****ing house I’m building. I knew going in that it would take a lot of bricks and a lot of time. But if I eat that burger or drink that beer, well then I’m eating shit. It’s simple: You can’t build a house made of shit and expect it to stand up to the rain. With that first drop of water, you’re ****ed. So for me, every time I see a piece of food, I’m asking myself, am I building up or am I tearing down? Will my house withstand any storm or will it easily crumble?

all said and done, it is hard to eat a clean diet for months at a time and at times even weeks (x-mas, thanksgiving, easter, 4th of july), its really not that bad to have a bad meal here and there, once a week for me and it keeps me in check the rest of the week. Now im not saying i go and have 3 dbl cheezes, frys and coke followed by a xl blizzard. It works for me, maybe not for everyone, but for me it does

i like the way you approach your statement chitown. if your CNS is bombarding you with urges and stress because of your strict eating, then sure take a break. i always eat clean so that when my friends want to go out to eat or something i feel ok in doing that. i never ever schedule cheats and i use them sparingly.

also, as chitown says, do what works best for you.
