my whole wardrobe isnt worth that much!
90%...???
I don't think so...
I paid for both of my degrees....
and both my kids paid for thiers..... $40,000 for one..
$36,000 for the 2nd one...
loans that is.. the grants and freebees were not included..
they both earn more than $40,000 per year now...
I guess i started paying the 1st year, they both were dropping classes, getting c's..
i stopped paying....
they both got straight A's the next 3 years..

Hell yea, I would be happy if I got any money for college. I paid for one semester then my ass went to the military...
I'd say at least 90%. I don't know one of my friends who pay, bastards!Originally Posted by SVTMuscle
I don't think it's 90 percent either that's pretty high...
I dont know 1 kid that I've met at my school who pays his own way full boat. I'm paying something like $2,000 over the 4 years. I dunno wtf thats for, but whatever.
why are you getting defensive???
I guess it all depends on what school you go to. I'd say the number of peeps at a four year school or private university who get it paid for is high. Now at a community college, those numbers are probably way different.
I didn't know many that paid their own way either. Some paid a % just to contribute but not the entire way. I was lucky enough to not pay for mine. I did however work 30 hours a week on top of 18 credits per semester just for spending money (protein powder and beer...haha) but I never was stuck with the huge bill.
because now i know alot of guys are just gonna be like 'oh your such a spoiled kid' blah blahOriginally Posted by Hackamaniac
I don't know a single kid from my highschool..or any other high school that I know in my area..that is paying for their own education. Call me "spoiled" or whatever..but I guess theres a lot of other spoiled kids too. I see it being A LOT more uncommon that a kid pays his way through college. I'm not taking anything away from you, I really respect that, but I wouldn't criticize someone just for not paying for their own college education.Originally Posted by spywizard
Exactly, as long as the kid dosnt piss away his parents money and fail out. my parents already told me if i dont keep up my grades they wont pay. so thats totally fair.Originally Posted by chest6
Not what I was saying I've been spoiled quite a bit myslef...Originally Posted by SVTMuscle
yeah thats how it is with me. If i fail out then I gotta pay if I want a second shot but that wont happenOriginally Posted by SVTMuscle
You better not let it happen I flunked out the first time...Originally Posted by chest6

You should be writing a post about how lucky you are to have grandparents who help you out like that
